February 18th, 2008, after the Wokai’s Board of Directors meeting, the organization decided to work with ARDY to carry out a microfinance project. To meet Wokai’s standards and to allow ARDY to be more transparent, efficient, and fair, Kira planned to conduct training at the end of February. The purpose of the training was to establish a framework for staff members to be more efficient and have better execution. The content of the training included:
1. To improve the current statistical systems (balance sheet, profit and loss account, etc.)
2. To establish a statistical system for cash flow to better understand where cash is going
3. To introduce the SEEP framework
This training covered information about implementation, efficiency, etc. and increased transparency. The staff members from the Financial Department would develop a better sense of direction and become more proficient.
